| In early December our new fire engine arrived in Oakland. Our new truck was assigned to Company 1 and is truck number 1031.
This truck replaces a 23 year old truck that was passed the 20 year NFPA standard for engines. The old truck will still provide some value to Oakland as it will be auctioned off by the Borough and the funds returned to the taxpayers.
OVFD members were required to attend training on the new 1031 engine and its apparatus and all drivers were trained and reviewed time behind the wheel prior to the engine being placed into service.
All of the members of the OVFD would like to thank the Mayour & Council for their support and help with obtaining this new engine and we would also like to thank the residents of Oakland for their continued support as well. |
