This afternoon the Oakland Fire Department was dispatched to a home on Bailey Ave for a reported MVA involving a motor home, a house and a tree. The tree was pushed over onto a neighboring home. Asst Chief Bob Knapp assumed command and instructed engine 1031's crew to survey the damage on the neighbors roof. Engine 1032's crew secured the motor home and then removed a portion of the front bunk so the tow truck could free the coach. The tree was cut from the roof and the front of the coach. Oakland's building inspector surveyed the damage and determined that the hazard was removed and both homes were inhabitable.
