The Oakland FD and First Aid Squad brought safety awareness and smiles to the kids at Heights School. Members from the departments gave their free time to teach the children about fire safety around the home with lectures about hazards in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom in the Fire Safety House supplied by the Ringwood Fire Department.
Additionally, the boys and girls were allowed to tour and touch the apparatus and wear turn-out gear.
The day ended with a fun ride on the big wheels through pretend streets lined with stop signs and safe driving lessons.
