At approx 9:00am, the Oakland Fire Department responded to an overturned dump truck on Lakeside Blvd. The truck was leaking diesel and hydraulic fluids into a storm drain. Response from the Oakland FD quickly contained the spill. Lt Romme and Firefighter Joe Gallup placed absorbent materials around the drain and at the source of the leaks on the truck. Joe Gallup and Brian Kelly secured the ignition and lights by gaining access through the truck's windshield. The truck, nicknamed "Lucky Dog" wasn't so lucky, but the driver escaped unharmed.
