On February 22, 2020 at 6:31 PM Oakland Fire, Police and EMS were dispatched to Ramapo Valley Road between Court House Place and Franklin Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of Ramapo Valley Road.

Upon the arrival of fire and police units they confirmed a two vehicle accident with one vehicle on its side. The occupants of both vehicles were located outside their respective vehicles and would be treated by Oakland EMS for minor injuries.

In an effort to keep traffic flowing in both directions of Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland police directed all northbound traffic into the left southbound lane of Ramapo Valley Road and merged all southbound traffic into the right southbound lane of Ramapo Valley Road.

The fire department contained a minor fluid spill and secured both vehicles and stood by until the one vehicle was up righted. The northbound lanes were reopened at approximately 7:20 PM and Oakland units cleared the scene.
