On Sunday, September 13th members of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to Waldwick to assist with a fire that took place at a PSE&G substation. Over 2,000 PSE&G customer were without power for several hours including parts of several Bergen County communities including Hillsdale, Westwood and Woodcliff Lake. Approximately 500 families had to be evacuated from around the substation area.
