On Friday, January 10th at approximately 7:00 pm, the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department responded to a car fire on Route 287.

The driver was traveling southbound when he noticed flames coming from his hood and he pulled over to the emergency shoulder and called for help. The OVFD , along with the Oakland Police, responded to the call and extinguished the engine fire. No injuries were reported at the scene.
