| On Friday, 10/26/2007 at 5:37 pm The Oakland Fire Department was dispatched to the top of Skyline Drive on a report of an overturned vehicle with entrapment and fire.
Due to the exact location being unknown emergency services from Wanaque and Ringwood were also dispatched. Upon arrival it was determined the incident was in Wanaque.
The actual incident turned out to be a two car head-on MVA with no entrapment, fire or overturned vehicle.
Since Wanaque had yet to arrive on scene, Chief Peter Sondervan established command. He had the members of Engine 1031 secure the vehicle and assist Ringwood's Ambulance crew with two injured parties.
Once Wanaque Police and Fire arrived, the scene was turned over to them. |
