| Saturday, November 14th at 15:16 the Oakland Fire Department was dispatched to a business on West Oakland Avenue for a reported vehicle crash into a building. The initial description of the motor vehicle accident described the car stuck inside the structure. Prior to OFD arrival the vehicle had backed out of the shop and parked near the street.
Assistant Chief Robert Knapp was first on scene and assumed command. Chief Peter Sondervan instructed engine 1031's crew to secure the vehicle and turn off the utilities on the first floor of the building. Franklin Lakes First Aid squad was dispatched to the scene to check the driver. Assistant Chief Robert Knapp requested the Oakland Building Inspector to review the damage to the structure. |
