The Oakland Fire Department was dispatched to a home on Ryerson Ave for a man stuck on a roof. Asst. Chief Bob Knapp instructed all responding units, Ladder 1041 and Engine 1032 to proceed with caution to the scene. An initial size up determined that the victim was capable of climbing down a stable ladder. Capt. Curt LeRoy instructed 1041's crew to reset and spot the ladder. Within moments our brother firefighter was safely on the ground.
