Food Left on Stove

At 1:20 this afternoon Oakland FD responded to a call for a 'smell of smoke' at 333 Pawnee Ave. The homeowner had left the house and called a neighbor to check if she accidentally left something on the stove. She had, and it produced quite a bit of smoke and ignited a nearby plastic container. The flames were extinguished prior to arrival. Asst. Chief Kellet assumed command and had the responding crews ventilate the house of the smoke.
