Last Saturday 16-JAN-2010 The Oakland Fire Department celebrated its annual installation dinner. At this social gathering the department takes the time to recognize the accomplishments of 2009 and this year the transistion to a new Chief Robert Knapp and his entourage of incoming 2010 officers.

In addition Vincent Dies was named Firefighter of the year, Joseph F Gallup was recognized as rookie of the year, and also saw the most fire calls- 250, and Joseph A. Gallup was honored for 50 years of dedicated service.
We were touched to recieve a letter from Chief Robert Haemmerle serving in Afghanistan.
The food was great, the dancing fun, and everyone had a good time.
