To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Oakland Fire Department, Oakland will be hosting a parade and celebration party at the Oakland Recreation Complex on Oak Street. The parade route is as follows: starting on Grove Street, going North on Ramapo Valley Road, turning right onto East Oak Street behind the Copper Tree Mall, turning left onto Yawpo Avenue, turning left onto Ramapo Valley Road, through the center of town, turning right onto Oak Street ending at the recreation complex.  The parade starts at 11:00am on Saturday September 12, 2009. There will be food, drinks, live band and rides for the children at the Oakland Recreation Field. All are invited to join the celebration.

Time: Parade will start at 11 AM; The celebration will begin immediately after the parade at the Oakland Recreation Field (approximately 1 PM)

Staging: All incoming Fire Apparatus are asked to begin lining up on Grove Street at 9:45 AM

Apparatus Staging Directions:  We recommend using maps.google.com/maps to get to Oakland once here take Route 202 South to Dogwood Drive, make Left proceed to Page Drive and make a Right and finally make a Right onto Grove Street for apparatus staging.

Spectator and Parking Directions:  Before 11 AM, we recommend using maps.google.com/maps to get to Oakland once here take Route 202 South to Oak Street and make Right. Parking will be 2 blocks down  on your left.  After 11 AM, you are on your own as there will be a parade through the center of town.
