On Saturday, November 4th. the Oakland Public Library once again held the Touch a Truck event where members of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department, Department of Public Works, Police Department and Oakland Volunteer First Aid Squad brought various pieces of equipment for residents to come out see, touch and climb aboard on.

The event ran from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and turnout was good. Thanks to all the residents who took their children to this event so they could see some really cool trucks, speak with members of the four groups to learn more about what each department does and maybe inspire a future member of the DPW, police department, volunteer fireman or member of the first aid squad.
