On Wednesday, June 28th, the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department welcomed a new member to the ranks when Daniel Binder took the Oath of Office at the Council Meeting that was held at the Oakland Senior Center.

Daniel was joined by his wife, children and many family members as Mayor Schwager administered the Oath to him. Daniel is joining the OVFD as a member of Company 2 and he also joins his brother Jeffery Binder who took his Oath of Office in March of this year as a member of Company 1.

We wish Dan all the best and thank him for taking on the responsibility of becoming a fireman for the Borough of Oakland.
