On Sunday, May 24th members of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department participated in the Town's annual Memorial Day Parade. Members of the department started the day with a solemn ceremony to remember all of the deceased members of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department by reading of the past members names in front of our memorial at Company 1. Following this service the OVFD marched in the Oakland Parade and then participated at the American Legions Memoridal Day service at Verterans Park.
