| The Oakland Fire Department, Police Department and First Aid Squad taught safety awareness to the kids at Heights School. Members from the departments showed the children our fire trucks, police cars and ambulances.
The children learned how to identify hazards in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom in the Fire Safety House supplied by the Ringwood Fire Department.
Additionally, the boys and girls were allowed to tour and touch the apparatus and wear turn-out gear.
The day ended with a fun ride on the big wheels through pretend streets lined with stop signs and safe driving lessons. |
